The boys loved the gorillas and monkeys!
My three year old said his favorite was the brown cow.
My kindergartner waited all day for ice cream!
We are all exhausted after a fun filled day! I chose to read Noisy Zoo illustrated by Lee Wildish and published by Usborne, before putting my three year old to bed. He loves this book and it was a great way to talk about all of the animals we saw at the zoo today.
Noisy Zoo is a book with eight different sound buttons for many of the animals that are found at the zoo. Each page has fun animal illustrations that even include a food from each animal's diet. My son always comments about the oranges that the gorilla has been eating! The pages in this book are very sturdy and have tabs at the top, so if your child wants to only read about the monkey, they can turn right to that page!
I will admit that I am not a huge fan of sound button books, but this book is perfect! The sounds aren't too loud and the last page is so much fun to read. On the last page my son and I push every sound button and read "What a noisy zoo!"
Although we didn't see any elephants on our trip to the zoo, we will be starting elephant week tomorrow. My boys were thrilled to see all of the elephant books I brought back from the library this weekend and they already have a couple of favorites. We have many elephant books in our own library that we love too, so we have a busy week ahead of us!
