Every member of our family is a gigantic fans of pancakes! We eat them for breakfast and even for dinner sometimes. The kids love theirs with chocolate chips. I like blueberries or strawberries, but however we eat them we have to have syrup.
Being big fans of pancakes you can imagine that one of our favorite books is about pancakes. Margaret and H.A. Rey's Curious George Makes Pancakes is a book that we have read over and over again. We love reading about George assisting with the pancake making and then getting in trouble for helping. We laugh when George gets all sticky and can't get the napkins off. We love watching George get dunked in the dunk tank too! This is just a fun book all about pancakes!
Yesterday, we tried making a new pancake recipe and everyone liked them! Trying new foods in this house in not a simple task, but the new peanut butter pancakes were a hit. We used the recipe found here at The History Kitchen.
My three year old had fun helping in the kitchen, everyone enjoyed eating the pancakes, and even Grandma came over for a taste! Although the kids would probably eat plain ones just as easily, I enjoyed the peanut butter flavor, so maybe these pancakes will be MY treat every once in a while!
