Last year we went on a trip to the same state park and before we went I found My First Hike at the library to take along with us.  Before we left this year, I made sure to check out the same book!  

My First Hike by Catherine Maria Woolf is a board book that tells the story of a grandpa who takes his grandkids on a hike.  At the beginning of the story the little boy doesn't want to go for a hike, but the bluebird, plants, leaves, spider, waterfall, and animals change his mind.  This book has charming pictures that illustrate a family enjoying the simple joys found in nature!
